Cameron Drake, is the Managing Director of Kelly Mini Sports. Cameron had a successful soccer career where he played in the Victorian Premier League for Green Gully and also played for Melbourne Victory Youth Team. Cameron went into business with Jeff Fleming and Steve Martin and created Kelly Mini Sports in 2013 and since then they have grown the business by sharing their passion for sport.

Steve Martin, from Bendigo, began his Melbourne soccer career in 1997 with Carlton Soccer Club in the NSL, playing for four years and earning Carlton’s Young Player of the Year in 1998. He represented the Australian Schoolboy team in 1999 and later played for Parramatta. He achieved top goal scorer status in 2001, 2005, and 2012 with Green Gully, Bulleen Zebras, and Sunshine George Cross. His playing accolades include a Premiership with Bulleen Zebras in 2004, and captaining Sunshine George Cross (2012-2013), where he received the Best and Fairest award in 2012.Transitioning to coaching, Steve led FC Bendigo in 2014, assisted Moreland Zebras (2015-2016), and coached Ivanhoe Grammar’s senior team (2016-2022). He also directs Ivanhoe’s soccer program and coaches at Barwon Soccer Club. Currently Steve holds a FFA B Licence Coach certification.

Since 2004, Steve has been with Kelly Sports, expanding its reach with Jeff Fleming. They acquired master franchise rights for Victoria, South Australia, and Tasmania in 2007, and purchased the entire business in 2010. In 2013, they founded Kelly Mini Sports with Cameron Drake, promoting Life Long Love of Sports of all abilities. Steve’s children attended the Kelly Mini Sports program starting their own love of sports.

Jeff, a New Zealand native who relocated to Australia in 2001, boasts a distinguished soccer career. A stalwart at Green Gully SC, he secured three best and fairest awards and three premierships, one as captain. His international experience includes representing New Zealand at schoolboy, U20, and senior levels, facing teams like Chile, Malaysia, and Blackburn Rovers. He also played for the New Zealand Knights, competing against Melbourne Victory.Holding an FFA A Licence, Jeff transitioned into coaching, serving as captain-coach at Green Gully. He spent four seasons as a playing assistant coach at Avondale Heights, reaching the NPL grand final twice. In 2023, he was the senior assistant coach when Avondale Heights won the Victorian NPL Grand Final and runners up in 2024. Jeff has also contributed to junior development, coaching at Barwon SC in 2023 and Geelong Junior SC in 2024 & 2025.

Since 2004, Jeff has been with Kelly Sports, expanding its reach with Steve Martin. Simon has completed a Diploma in Children's Services and a Diploma in Sports Development. He started working at Kelly Mini Sports in 2014 and since then has worked his way up to becoming the Victoria State Manager. Simon’s main role is to provide ongoing support and training to all coaches across the state to ensure a fun and professional program is being taught to all the toddlers and pre schoolers. Simon is the main driver of Kelly Mini Sports.

Charlotte has a passion for sports and teaching. At 14, Charlotte started teaching gymnastics, cheerleading, dance and also coached netball. Charlotte has loved sports from a young age and has participated in swimming, surf lifesaving, little athletics, netball, basketball and dance. Charlotte has completed a Certificate III in fitness and a Diploma in Early Childhood Development and Education. Charlotte hopes to create a fun and enjoyable environment for all kids participating in the Kelly Mini Sports program.

OUR COACHES At Kelly Minis Sports we have over 60 coaches working at venues across Victoria.

All our coaches receive a comprehensive training program so you know that your child is developing new skills from experienced staff while both you and your child are having fun!

To work at Kelly Minis Sports,  coaches are required to have a valid Police check and a  ‘Working with Children’ check. They must also successfully complete a full First Aid training program.
