Meet our Kelly Mini Sports Coaches  

 

Cameron Drake - Director and General Manager

Kelly Mini Sports was created in June 2013.
Cameron Drake, our Kelly Mini Sports Director and General Manager has seen Kelly Mini Sports grow rapidly across metro and regional Victoria since its beginning. Our core program is to promote a seamless transition for your toddlers and preschoolers to school life and organised activities.

 

 

Simon Bott - Area Manager

I have completed a Diplmoma in Children's Services and a Diploma in Sports Development. I started working at Kelly Mini Sports in 2014 and since then have worked my way up to becoming the Victoria State Manager. My main roll is to provide on going support and training to all coaches across the state to ensure a fun and professional program is being taught to all the toddlers and pre schoolers. Oh and of course I want to create a lifelong love of sports across this wonderful state.

 

Brendan Lim - Melbourne

I am currently in my 3rd year of Sports and Exercise Science Bachelor degree. During my years, I've competed competitively in various sport team such as Bulleen Boomers (Basketball) and playing in VIC state team forBadminton. Given my passion for sports and coaching children, Kelly Mini Sports has given me the opportunity to teach my knowledge of sports and develop their motor skills. It always brings a smile to my face when I see children having fun and growing as individuals when playing sports.

 

Charlotte Baker - Melbourne

My name is Charlotte and I have a passion for sports and teaching. When I was 14, I started teaching gymnastic, cheerleading, dance and also coached netball. i have loved sport ever since I was little and have participated in swimming, surf lifesaving, little athletics, netball, basketball and dance. I am currently studying a certificate 3 in Fitness and look forward to completing a certificate 4 afterwards. I'm hoping to go to University and study to become a primary school PE teacher. I hope to create a fun and enjoyable environment for all kids participating in the Kelly Mini Sports program.

 

Charlotte Groenewegen - Melbourne

I am currently completing a Bachelor of Arts at Melbourne University with the end goal of becoming a primary teacher. I grew up playing lots of sports both for my school and local clubs, but most importantly watching mighty Hawthorn Footy Club! I love sharing my love of sports with young kids and watching them grow confidence.

 

 

Chloe Williams - Melbourne

I'm Currently a first year student at Monash Universityn - having recently graduated from year 12 in 2020. I'm super passionate about sports and I have played hockey, netball and AFL in my life. I love working with children and allowing them to explore and develop their interests in sports, as well as enhance their motor and social skills. It's extremely rewarding to watch the kids in Kelly Mini Sports sessions have so much fun playing sports. You will find me coahing in Greensborough and Marybirnong.

 

 

Daniel McCann - Melbourne

I have always had a passion for sports and recreation playing in many team and individual activities such as basketball, football, soccer, Kung-Fu and circus training. this passion led me to become a personal trainer to help people develop mani diverse skill sets and become healthier version of themselves. I am currently studying education with goals of becoming a Physical Educattion teacher to help children build their fine and gross motor skills and create a positive relationship with physical activity. you will find me coaching on the weekend in Aspendale and Seaford.

 

Hannah Langley - Melbourne

I'm currently studying a Bachelor of Health and Physical Education, I have participated in sports for as long as I can remember and hope to encourage children to do the same. i enjoy sharing my knowledge and encouraging a lifelong love of sports with the next generation.

 

Hannah O'Connell - Melbourne

I have recently moved to Melbourne from Dunedin, New Zealand and have loved my time in Melbourne so far. I really enjoy playing sports and being active and love to encourage children to do the same. I have been involved with a lot of sports teams and coaching back home and loving Melbourne! You will see me coaching in Reservoir, Kew, Maribyrnong and Bentleigh.

 

Lauren Sinclair - Melbourne

I returned from living in Peru where I spent 3 years teaching English to preschool children. I have a Certificate IV in Outdoor Recreation and have played golf at a national level. I believe it's very important for kids to enjoy sports and develop their motor skills from a very young age. I love working with kids and we have a lot of fun together. You will find me coaching in Doncaster, Greensborough, Doreena nd Lower Templestowe.

 

Madeline Goodger - Melbourne

Currently completing my diploma of Early Childhood Education, I have been working in the education sector for 6 years now and have love every moment. I have a passion for working with kids of all ages and developing an environment which is enthusiastic and engaging. I love being active and have been involved in playing and coaching netball for 15 years. I am excited to be able to combine my love of sports and working with kids at Kelly Mini Sports.

 

Matthew Nichol - Melbourne

I am currently completing an arts and education course at Monash university, with the end goal of being a primary or secondary school teacher. On top of this I am keen fan of playing and watching sports, with particular emphasis on Aussie Rules (footy) and Basketball. Kelly Mini Sports combines both my passion to work with children professionally, as well as staying fit and active through playing sports. You will find me coaching at Croydon, Ringwood and Lilydale.

 

 

Rachel Ramm - Bendigo

I started out my career as a Primary Teacher and am very passionate about working with kids to build positive self-esteem, resilience and to help them to develop their skills across a range of areas. Kelly Mini Sports give me the opportunity to do this in a fun and engaging way and seeing the smiles on the kids faces as they participate makes it so worthwhile. Watching my own boys play and learn essential sports skills has sparked my passion to work with other young children to help them find the same enjoyment from physical activity.

 

Rebecca Howard - Melbourne

I am currently completing my second year of Bachelor of Exercise Science/Sports Management. I have a passion for sports and have participated in various sports such as Football, Soccer, Gymnastics, Rugby and Tennis! I have coached kids in Tennis for the last 5 years and I love introducing kids to the sports I love as well as passing down my passion for exercise.

 

 

Sam Stajanoski - Melbourne

Sports is a huge passion for me, having completed my diploma in sports development and having coached a young footbal team in the eastern suburbs, I now want to share my experience with our young grassroots sporting stars. Coaching is a massive drive for me. It's a great feeling to be able to teach sports to young and developing children, nothing makes you feel prouder to be a coach when you see a young person learn new skills. It's really rewarding.

 

Shenae Dixon - Melbourne

I am currently studying my bachelors in health and physical education majoring in maths. I started working at Kelly Club doing before and after school care and now am loving the opportunity to work with the kids at Kelly Mini Sports. I love giving all sports a crack but my favourites would be netball and AFL. I think its so exciting seeing all the kids develop physically and socially through the mini sports program. You can find me coaching at Reservoir and Ringwood.

 

Sophie Alexandra Papaefraim - Melbourne

I have played netball since I was in primary school and it was at my netball club where I discovered a love and passion for coaching. I have played sports my whole life and have always made it a part of my weekly routine. I strive to encourage and allow kids to discover a love for sport and physical activity that i have always have. My coaching also allowed me to travel to Fiji whilst studying my Diploma of Sports Development to coach a variety of sports to underprivileged kids, this was where I realised that coaching was exactly what I wanted tod o, knowing that it was making kids as happy as I always have been when playing sports.

 

Stephan Achilleos - Melbourne

Playing and coaching sports has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember and is an industry I am proud to be a part of. I have over 9 years experience in the industry and have been a part of some excellent journey along the way to Kelly Mini Sports which all provide me with the attitude, ability and knowledge required to be successful. Throughout my journey, I have completed my Diploma in Sports and Recreation and Bachelor of Sports and Recreation Management as well as the opportunities to work with various sports companies over the years with children of all age. Currently, I am the head coach of Moreland Zebras (National Premier League Club) women's soccer team where I have been in the role since the beginning of 2014 and have seen an extraordinary amount of success in my time at the club.   

 

Toby Thornton - Melbourne

I'm a passionate sportsperson and incredibly excited to be working for Kelly Mini Sports. I've been playing sports all of my life and I can't wait to help your children learn and create a love for sports like I have. I've got experience playing representative level in Tennis, Basketball, AFL and Cricket, with casual experience in Soccer and Rugby. I'm looking forward to meeting you and your children soon!

 

 

William Keep - Melbourne

I have been involved in various sporting clubs and communities for over 15 years, in codes including Football, Cricket. Basketball, Tennis, Athletics and Fitness. for the past 6 years, I have coached Football, Cricket, Basketball and Fitness at schools and club level. Coaching and working in sports is a major passion of mine, as I love having the opportunity to pass on to future generations, the excitement, skills, enjoyment and teamwork that I have been able to experience through sports. I believe sport is a great way to stay active, follow your passions or skills and to find lifelong friends whol also shares that love of sports. You will find me coaching the eastern suburbs of Melbourne.

 

Zaiyan - Ballarat

Hi, I'm Zaiyan, from a very early age I have loved sports. I have played most sports competitively from Tennis, Football, Basketball and even Badminton. I was very fortunate to develop many sporting skills from an early age and have decided to join the team at Kelly Mini Sports to help children find the benefits of simple sporting and motor skills to enjoy the sport they would one day like to play and perhaps thrive at. You will find me coaching in Ballarat.

 

 

All our coaches have a complete ‘Working with Children’ check and have had full First Aid training.
